I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I have selected two artists that I currently buy ALL of my wedding and baby gifts from. Seriously. Its the easiest thing in the world. The reason is that I want to give my friends something unique, artistic, and memorable. With both of these artists I buy from, they customize each gift for the recipient. Its perfect.
Why do I say this? Well, some of you probably do the standard registry gift and get the most BORING thing on the list just because you don’t want to be hassled. You can argue that they may need these items. Fine, it could be true. But I guarantee in a year, they sure won’t remember that you bought them a blender or that set of baby bottles.
To me, its not as relational for those that I hold close to my heart. So I chose another path.
Something to take into consideration is using this same idea and investing in a print for their home. A wedding, birthday, or housewarming gift works great. It brings dialog and intentional friendship.
